At 2:30 pm on May 6, 2021, a symposium on the construction of mathematics between China and Russia was held in the conference room on the third floor of the School of Mathematics. Participants included Professor Budak, Deputy Dean of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Associate Professor Petrovich, General Manager of Sino-Russian Science Park Li Yongping, Chen Weiqi, project supervisors Lou Xiaoming, Cui Shuang, and Dean of the School of Mathematics Zhang Ran, Vice Dean Sheng Yunhe and professional teachers in related fields.
First, Vice Dean Sheng Yunhe briefly introduced the development of the School of Mathematics, faculty, discipline construction, and personnel training. Then Professor Budak gave a detailed introduction to Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. Shenzhen MSU-BIT University is a university in Shenzhen jointly established by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, Moscow State University and Beijing Institute of Technology to cultivate high-quality talents for Sino-Russian strategic cooperation and regional economic and social development. Then the two sides conducted detailed discussions on the joint training of students, exchange visits of teachers, and cooperative research in scientific research, which laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the future. Professor Xu Xu in the field of operations research, Associate Professor Cheng Jianhua in the field of probability and biostatistics, Professor Ye Ting and Associate Professor Li Xinxin in the field of computational mathematics participated in the seminar and had in-depth exchanges with Russian experts on their respective research fields.
